Terms & Conditions

All members and guests using the facility must abide by the following terms and conditions of use and Rural Swim reserves the right to deny access to the facilities any guest or member who is deemed by the management to have failed to comply.

Fees

Membership - £38 per month due every month, payable through future pay on our website, www.ruralswim.co.uk

This will allow members up to 8 one hour sessions per month.

Sessions will be booked via the online booking system on our website, up to two weeks ahead.

Payments will be taken every month thereafter until the customer wishes to cancel membership.

Membership is for a minimum of 4 months. Cancellation of membership to be given in writing at least 1 month before next payment due. Once accepted, it is the client’s responsibility to cancel their membership via worldpay.com. If the client chooses to re-join a fee of £20 will be charged.

Hourly sessions cannot be carried forward to the following month.

If you are unable to use your eight sessions any month, no refund will be given.

Members may bring family with them to one of their sessions. Family members will be charged pay as you go rates.

Pay as you go - £10 per adult, £6 for 12-15 years, £4 for 0-11 years. Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children under 6) £22, Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children under 15) £30

General

Rural Swim is owned by Stuart and Karen Galloway, Barvernochan Farm, Whauphill, DG8 9PD.

CCTV is installed for safety and security reasons. It is not used for constant surveillance.

The swimming pool, hot tub and gym are unsupervised.

No smoking is permitted inside or outside the building at any time.

No food or drinks to be consumed in the swimming pool or hot tub.

A maximum of 4 people are permitted in the pool or hot tub at any one time.

No inflatable toys or balls are to be used at any time.

Non-swimmers are not permitted to use the swim current.

Aqua shoes are recommended when using the treadmill.

Users must leave the facility as they find it and depart on time to allow the next users access.

All floors must be dried using mop provided. Please do not mop water through the boards surrounding the pool. The mop bucket should be emptied down the drain outside the main door.

The facility may be closed at short notice for essential maintenance work, special functions or for any other reasons.

Rural Swim accepts no liability for any illness or injury resulting from use of the facilities.

Children

Persons under the age of 16 may only use the facility when accompanied by an adult.

Parents are totally responsible for their children’s behaviour at all times.

Children must be accompanied when using the pool and hot tub.

Children must not operate the swim current or underwater treadmill.

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the gym.

Hygiene

Always shower before and after using the pool and hot tub.

All hair must be tied back when using pool or hot tub for hygiene and safety reasons.

Babies and young children must wear swim nappies and a nappy wrap.

Any soiling of the pool must be reported immediately and the pool will be closed for purification.

Adults and children must not swim if they have had sickness or diarrhoea in the past 14 days.

Please use bins provided for waste and do not flush wet wipes, sanitary products etc. down the toilets.

Emergency

There is an emergency shut off button at either end of the pool should it be required.
